Ring Toss is the fairground stall that looks easy from a distance and turns out to be anything but. Drag back to set your power and angle, release, and watch the ring arc toward the peg. Land it cleanly over the top and you score; clip the edge and it bounces away.
Everything depends on the arc. A flat, hard throw travels fast but arrives at the wrong angle to drop over the peg, while a high loop comes down almost vertically and settles beautifully. Learning to throw high rather than hard is the single insight that turns a frustrating game into a satisfying one.
Throw high, not hard. A ring dropping steeply onto the peg has a much better chance of settling than one arriving flat and fast, which tends to bounce straight off. Power is almost always the enemy here.
