Marbles is a playground game older than almost anything else on this site. A ring is drawn, marbles are placed inside it, and players take turns flicking their shooter to knock the others out. Whatever you knock out of the ring, you keep. Simple, physical, and unchanged for centuries.
The digital version keeps what matters: the aiming and the physics. Marbles carry momentum and transfer it on impact, so a well-placed shot can scatter several at once while a badly angled one barely moves anything. Reading those collisions is the whole game.
Aim for clusters, not single marbles. A shot into a tight group transfers energy through several marbles at once and can clear two or three in a single flick, while picking off one isolated marble at a time is slow work.
Hit marbles that are already near the edge. They need the least push to leave the ring, so a gentle accurate shot at a marble by the line is worth far more than a powerful one at a marble in the middle.
Watch where your shooter ends up. If it rolls out of the ring you lose your turn, so a shot with too much power can cost you even when it knocks something out.
Use angles rather than force. Striking a marble slightly off-centre sends it sideways, which is often the only way to push one toward the nearest edge rather than across the whole ring.
By knocking opposing marbles out of the ring. Each one that leaves counts.
You lose your turn, so power has to be controlled rather than maximised.
Yes. Aiming and judging the collisions is genuinely learnable, much like pool.
When the ring is cleared, and whoever knocked out more marbles wins.
