Piano Tiles scrolls dark tiles down four lanes and asks you to tap each one before it slips past the bottom. Tap a lane with no tile in it, or let one escape, and the run is over. It speeds up every ten tiles.
It looks trivial for the first twenty tiles and then becomes genuinely hard, because your eyes have to track four lanes at once while your fingers work independently. That split is what the game is really training.
Watch the bottom of the screen, not the top. The tile about to leave is the urgent one, and tracking the whole board from above makes you late on every tap.
Use two thumbs. Alternating hands across the four lanes is considerably faster than reaching across with one, and at higher speeds it is the only way to keep up.
Do not tap ahead. Hitting a lane before its tile arrives counts as a miss, so patience matters as much as speed.
Relax your grip. Tension slows reaction time noticeably, and most runs end in a burst of panic rather than a genuine inability to keep up.
Tapping a lane with no tile in range, or letting a tile fall past the bottom.
