Masyu asks for a single closed loop threaded through a grid of pearls. A white pearl must be passed straight through, with a turn immediately before or after it. A black pearl must be turned on, with the loop running straight for at least one step on both sides.
The two pearl types constrain each other beautifully. A black pearl near an edge has almost no valid arrangements, and a line of white pearls forces a long straight run. Learning to read those local forcings is what turns the puzzle from guesswork into deduction.
Start with black pearls against the edge. The loop must run two steps straight in both directions from a black pearl, so one near a wall has only one possible orientation.
Look for adjacent white pearls. Two white pearls side by side force the loop straight through both, which usually settles several segments at once.
Remember every dot has zero or two lines. A dot already carrying two segments is finished, and the rest of its connections can be ruled out immediately.
Check that you are building one loop, not several. Two separate closed circuits satisfy every pearl locally and are still wrong.
