About this game
Eight ball is the pub standard. The table opens with fifteen object balls, and whoever pots first claims that group, solids or stripes. Clear your seven, then sink the eight ball to take the frame. Pot the eight early and you lose on the spot, which is the rule that decides more casual games than any other.
Aiming works by dragging back from the cue ball, the way you would pull a cue back before striking. The further you drag, the harder the shot. The table is drawn in portrait so it fits a phone screen, and turning your device sideways rotates it to landscape automatically.

Tips & strategy
Power is the most common beginner mistake. Hard shots scatter the table, lose position, and frequently send the cue ball into a pocket. Most pots need far less force than instinct suggests, and a softly struck ball that drops leaves you in control of where the cue ball stops.
Think one shot ahead rather than only about the ball in front of you. Before striking, decide which ball you want next and where the cue ball needs to finish for that to be easy. A frame is usually lost not on a missed pot but on a successful pot that left nothing playable afterwards.
When you have no clear shot, play safe instead of hoping. Roll the cue ball behind one of your opponent group balls and leave them nothing. Handing over a difficult table is often worth more than a low-percentage attempt that opens the table up for them.
Save one easy ball near a pocket for late in the frame. Clearing your simplest balls first feels productive but leaves you with only awkward ones when the eight ball matters. Keeping a reliable ball in reserve gives you a way to reposition when the table gets tight.
Questions
What happens if I pot the cue ball?
It is a scratch. Play passes to your opponent, which is why controlling power matters so much.
When do I get assigned solids or stripes?
The table is open until someone legally pots a ball. Whichever group goes down first becomes theirs for the rest of the frame.
What if I sink the 8 ball too early?
You lose the frame immediately. It has to be your final ball, after your whole group is cleared.
Does the table work on a phone?
Yes. It is drawn in portrait by default and rotates to landscape when you turn the device sideways.
