About this game

Dot Hunter drops you onto a board covered in dots with something chasing you. Collect as many as you can while staying ahead of the hunters, and the longer you survive the more crowded the board becomes.

The tension comes from the conflict between the two jobs. Collecting requires going where the dots are; surviving requires going where the hunters are not, and those are rarely the same place. Every point you score is a small decision to take a risk.

Tips & strategy

Keep moving and never get cornered. The edges and corners of the board are where hunters trap you, so staying toward the middle preserves escape routes in every direction.

Collect the dots nearest your escape route, not the nearest dots. A cluster in a dead end is worth far less than a few spread along a path you can keep running down.

Use corners to break pursuit. You turn instantly while a chasing hunter has to travel the full path, so a sequence of tight turns opens distance in a way straight running never does.

Watch all the hunters, not just the closest one. Most captures happen because a second hunter was quietly closing off the direction you were about to run in.

Questions

How do I score?

By collecting dots. Surviving longer means collecting more.

What happens if I am caught?

You lose a life, and the run ends when they are gone.

Does it get harder?

Yes, the board becomes more dangerous the longer you survive.

Does it work on touch?

Yes, with an on-screen directional pad.

Do I have to sign up to play?

No. Dot Hunter runs entirely inside this page, so it starts the moment the page opens. There is nothing to download, no plugin, and no account to create.
