Alphabet Order scatters letters across the screen and asks you to tap them from A to Z. For a child learning the alphabet it is genuine practice; for an adult it is a surprisingly stubborn visual search test.
What makes it useful for young players is that it separates two different skills. Reciting the alphabet is memorisation, but finding the next letter in a scattered grid means actually recognising each shape, and plenty of children can sing the song long before they can do this.
Say the alphabet quietly as you go. Knowing what letter comes next before you start looking is faster than working it out each time, and for a child it reinforces the sequence.
Scan in a consistent pattern. Sweeping the screen the same way each time avoids re-checking areas you have already searched, which is where most of the time goes.
