About this game

Moving Platforms sends you running across a series of ledges separated by gaps. One button, one job: jump at the right moment. The platforms shift and the gaps vary, so there is no fixed rhythm to settle into.

That variation is what distinguishes it from a straightforward runner. A game with even spacing becomes a metronome you can follow without looking; here every gap has to be judged individually, which keeps your attention on the screen rather than on the beat.

Tips & strategy

Judge the gap, not the platform edge. What matters is how far you need to travel, and reading the width of the gap tells you when to leave far better than watching your feet.

Jump late rather than early. Leaving the ledge as late as you dare gives you the maximum reach, whereas an early jump lands you short in the gap you were trying to clear.

Do not double-tap. Extra presses while airborne do nothing useful and often trigger a second jump the instant you land, straight into the next gap.

Watch the platform ahead of the one you are landing on. Planning one ahead means you arrive already knowing whether the next jump is short or long.

Questions

What is the only control?

A single jump button.

Why is there no steady rhythm?

Because the gaps vary in width, so each one has to be judged rather than counted.

Is there an ending?

No, it is an endless runner scored on distance.

What ends a run?

Falling into a gap.

Is there anything to install?

Nothing at all. The whole of Moving Platforms is built into the page itself, which is why there is no loading bar and no waiting before you can play.
