Jump Quest is about going up. Your character bounces automatically, and your only job is to steer left and right so that each landing finds a platform rather than empty air. Miss one and you fall, and everything you climbed goes with it.
The appeal of a vertical jumper is how quickly the tension builds. Near the bottom the platforms are generous and mistakes are cheap; a few hundred metres up they are sparse and every landing matters. The score you are risking grows with the difficulty, which is what makes the fall hurt.
Steer while you are in the air, not when you land. The bounce is automatic and its height is fixed, so the only thing you control is horizontal position. Line up the next platform on the way up rather than at the last moment.
Aim for the centre of a platform, not its edge. Edges are where near-misses happen, and a landing slightly off-centre costs you nothing while a landing slightly off the edge costs the whole run.
Do not chase distant platforms. If the next one is far to one side, look for a closer option even if it means climbing more slowly. A steady ascent beats a spectacular leap that misses.
Use the screen wrap if the game has it. Drifting off one side to reappear on the other is often the quickest way to reach a platform that looks unreachable.
No, the bounce is automatic. You only steer left and right.
Falling past the bottom of the screen without landing on a platform.
No. It is endless, so you are climbing for a high score.
Yes, with on-screen steering controls.
