About this game

Color Switch gives you a grid where each row can slide sideways independently. Shift them until every column shows a single colour all the way down. It looks simple and quickly becomes a genuine ordering problem.

The catch is that rows wrap around and each slide moves the whole row, so fixing one column disturbs several others. The puzzle is really about finding the order of moves that leaves earlier work intact, which is a different skill from spotting the target arrangement.

Tips & strategy

Fix one column completely before starting another. Working on several at once means every slide undoes progress somewhere, whereas locking in one column narrows what the remaining rows can do.

Count the offset rather than sliding by feel. Each row needs a specific number of shifts, and working that out before you tap saves moves, which is what you are scored on.

Start with the row that is already closest. The row needing the fewest shifts is the cheapest to fix and often reveals the target arrangement for the rest.

Remember the wrap. Sliding one way past the edge brings tiles back on the other side, so the shorter route to an alignment is sometimes in the opposite direction from the obvious one.

Questions

How do the rows move?

Each row slides sideways as a unit and wraps around at the edges.

How is my score measured?

By the number of moves used, so planning the offsets pays off.

What counts as solved?

Every column showing a single colour from top to bottom.

Is there a time limit?

No, so you can work out the offsets carefully.

Do I have to sign up to play?

Completely free, with no trial and no unlock. Color Switch loads with the page and plays immediately, without an install step or a video ad first.
