Color Pop fills the board with coloured blocks and asks you to clear them by tapping any group of two or more touching the same colour. They burst, everything above drops down, and the board reshuffles itself into new possibilities. Clear as much as you can before you run out of moves.
The scoring is what turns it from idle tapping into a real puzzle: bigger groups are worth disproportionately more points. Popping a pair is almost free, while clearing a cluster of ten is worth many times that. So the game becomes about patience, growing groups rather than harvesting them the moment they appear.
Resist popping small groups. Two or three blocks score almost nothing and, worse, they break up the board in ways that separate larger clusters. Leave the pairs alone and hunt for chances to merge them into something bigger first.
Clear from the bottom when you can. Blocks fall downward, so bursting a low group drops everything above it into new arrangements, often joining separated patches of the same colour into one large cluster. Popping the top does far less for the board.
Work on one colour at a time. Concentrating your pops so that a single colour gathers into a big connected mass sets up the huge scoring clears. Scattering your attention across every colour keeps all of them fragmented.
Watch for the end. When the remaining blocks are all isolated, the game is over, so before you make a small clear, check whether it is your last chance to combine something larger. Ending with an unpopped big group is the most common way to leave points behind.
