Bomb Escape rains bombs down on you and asks you to stay alive. Mixed in among them are hearts that restore a life, so the safest path and the useful path are constantly at odds. Survive as long as you can.
The hearts are what make it more than a dodging game. Without them you would simply run from everything; with them you are repeatedly deciding whether a particular heart is worth the gap you would have to cross to reach it, and that decision gets harder as the screen fills.
Only go for hearts you can reach safely. A heart restores one life, but crossing a crowded screen to reach it often costs you two. Take the ones that come to you.
Keep to open space rather than a favourite spot. Standing in one place lets bombs converge on you, while drifting toward whichever area is emptiest keeps escape routes available.
Watch the top of the screen. That is where you learn what is coming, and by the time a bomb is beside you the decision has already been made for you.
Move smoothly. Sharp panicked movements overshoot into whatever is next to you, and most hits come from the correction rather than the original threat.
They restore a life, which is what makes reaching them worth some risk.
By how long you survive.
Yes, the bombs fall faster and more thickly over time.
Yes, dragging with a finger is the natural control.
