Blackjack is the casino game with the best odds for the player, and the reason is that you make real decisions. You and the dealer each aim to get closer to twenty-one than the other without going over. Face cards are worth ten, aces are one or eleven, and the whole game is deciding when to take another card and when to stop.

This version has no money attached, so you can learn the correct play without any cost. That matters, because blackjack has a mathematically proven best move in every situation, and the gap between good and bad play is enormous. Learning basic strategy here is exactly what you would need at a real table.

Always assume the dealer's hidden card is a ten, because more cards are worth ten than any other value. That single assumption drives basic strategy: if the dealer shows a weak up card and could easily bust, you stand on modest totals and let them take the risk.

Stand on seventeen or higher, every time. The chance of improving is small and the chance of busting is large. There is no situation in this game where hitting a hard seventeen is correct, however tempting one more card feels.

When the dealer shows a low card, roughly a two through six, they are in trouble and often bust. Against those, stand on twelve or more and make them take the cards that break their hand. Against a strong dealer card like a nine, ten or ace, you have to take more risk yourself.

Treat a soft hand, one containing an ace counted as eleven, more aggressively. You cannot bust by taking one card, since the ace drops to one if needed, so a soft sixteen is a free hit where a hard sixteen is a dilemma. Knowing the difference is most of basic strategy.
