A binary puzzle, also called Binairo or Takuzu, uses only two symbols. Fill the grid so that no three identical symbols sit together in a row or column, and each line holds an equal number of both. From those two rules alone the whole grid is determined.
It is a satisfying entry point into logic puzzles because there is nothing to count and no arithmetic. Everything comes from spotting that a particular cell would create a forbidden triple, which makes the deductions feel visual rather than mathematical.
Look for pairs. Two identical symbols side by side force the cells at both ends to be the other symbol, since three in a row is forbidden. This is the single most productive pattern in the puzzle.
Watch the gaps. A single empty cell between two identical symbols must hold the opposite one, for exactly the same reason.
Count each line. Once a row already holds three of one symbol, every remaining cell in it must be the other, which often cascades into the columns.
Work rows and columns alternately. A deduction in one direction almost always unlocks something in the other, and switching keeps the puzzle moving.
